Little Researchers: Discover the World of Science

Course Goal

The course promotes inquiry-based learning and provides insights into scientific ways of thinking and working. Children learn to experiment, apply the research cycle, and present their results.

Course Content

The course emphasizes inquiry-based learning and understanding scientific methods: How are scientific findings generated? How does knowledge change over time? Children develop appropriate ideas of how science works ('Nature of Science') and a nuanced view of scientists and their work.

Target group

This course is aimed at particularly gifted and highly gifted third- and fourth-grade students with an interest in science, who are part of the Hector Children’s Academies program.
