Course Content
The courseemphasizes inquiry-based learning and understandingscientific methods: How are scientific findings generated? How does knowledge change over time? Children developappropriate ideas of how science works ('Nature of Science') and a nuanced view of scientists and their work.
This course is aimed at particularly gifted and highly gifted third- and fourth-grade students with an interest in science, who are part of the Hector Children’s Academies program.
