Outdoor furniture in front of the library

In 2025, the University Association presented the university with a special gift to mark its 100th anniversary: a generous donation made it possible to purchase modern outdoor furniture for the plaza in front of the university library.
The high-quality lounge chairs, benches, and tables from the Norwegian company Vestre were set up in the area in front of the Unicafeteria, which, as part of the library, serves as an open space for learning and socializing. There are now eight tables with 16 benches—complemented by two wooden lounge chairs that create another cozy spot to relax directly under the nearby chestnut tree.

Loan of deck chairs for free

What is nicer than lying under the trees in front of the University Library in summer? Exactly, if you can lie on a deck chair instead of in the grass. You can borrow a deck chair from us and use it in front of the UB.

The deckchairs can be borrowed at the counter in the circulation center.

The chairs were kindly provided by the project "BeTaBalance 2.0 - studieren zwischen Berg und Tal" of the Tübingen University Sports and the Institute for Sports Science.
