Hector-Institut Distinguished Professor Brent Roberts once again named highly cited researcher

Brent Roberts wins the Highly Cited Researcher Award.

Brent Roberts continues his success: For the sixth time overall and the fourth time in a row, Prof. Dr. Brent Roberts is among the researchers honored with the annual “Highly Cited Researcher Award”.

Brent Roberts is a professor of psychology and a Distinguished International Professor at the Hector Institute for Empirical Educational Research. His research focuses on personality development, personality assessment, social, emotional, and behavioral skills, conscientiousness, and narcissism. Roberts teaches and conducts research at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and spends several weeks as a visiting scholar at the Hector Institute for Empirical Educational Research, where he contributes his expertise in various fields and mentors young scientists. He has received numerous awards for his research achievements. Among his most cited articles is the publication A gradient of childhood self-control predicts health, wealth, and public safety, Proc. Highly Cited Researcher Award

The Highly Cited Researcher Award is given by Clarivate. The company operates the fee-based platform Web of Science, which provides access to and analysis of citation data from many scientific documents such as journals and conference reports. The award is granted to researchers who have had a significant and far-reaching impact in their field or fields of research. Winners must have authored several highly cited articles that are among the top 1% of most cited articles in their field in the Web of Science Core Collection. Other quantitative indicators and expert opinions are also taken into account.
