FIFA Research Grant for Project in Sport Economics

21.01.2015 – Georgios Nalbantis and Tim Pawlowski successfully applied for a research grant provided by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). As notified by the Scientific Committee of the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) on behalf of FIFA, the project was selected this year for a João Havelange Research Scholarship. The objective of their research project is to evaluate and understand the various factors influencing the demand for overseas football broadcasts in the USA in order to help league organizers and managers developing adequate internationalization strategies.
