More than 40 students from Tübingen participated in the Sport Management Game in Groningen
Supervised by Dr. Ute Schüttoff, students from all Bachelor programs in sports science participated in this event which took place in the first week of the summer term.
The teams consisting of students from the Hanze University Groningen (Netherlands), the German Sport University Cologne, the IST University of Applied Science, the University of Leipzig and the Institute of Sports Science of the University of Tübingen worked competitively on a number of different tasks over the course of the week.
The game started with a team building task and the development of a video in which each team had to present major facilities of the Hanze University campus. In the following days, the teams worked on realistic management tasks related to the “Great North Run”, which were based on various lectures. In addition to professional knowledge and soft skills, such as teamwork and time management, creativity and technical know-how were of great importance, since posters, videos and podcasts had to be developed in addition to written reports.
The best-ranked teams - also with participants from Tübingen - were awarded during the closing ceremony.
