Activities and Measures

The distinction between modal and amodal representations has always been particularly relevant and theoretically fruitful in the psychology of perception and language. In other subfields of psychology, this distinction has been less prominent, presumably because different terminologies were used for similar principles. This research unit explores whether evidence for modal and amodal representations can be demonstrated in various subfields of psychology. We support these combined research efforts through a number of structures, measures, and activities, to foster exchange, collaboration, and synergy within and beyond our research unit:
