Postdoc position

We are looking for a postdoc to join the lab in summer or fall 2025 (some flexibility depending on when you will finish your PhD thesis). 

The position (100% TVL E-13) is funded for up to 4 years through the DFG Emmy Noether program.

Requirements: 

  • PhD in neuroscience (or related field)
  • responsibility in working with animals
  • relevant experience (electrophysiology and/or strong data analysis skills).

PhD Student

We are looking for a new PhD student to join the team!

Requirements:
    •    M.Sc. in Neuroscience, Biology, Cognitive Science, Bioinformatics, or similar
    •    responsibility in working with animals
    •    good programming skills in Matlab or Python

The three-year position is funded through the Middle East Cooperation by the DFG, and jointly supervised by Prof. Veit and canary expert Prof. Yarden Cohen from the Weizmann Institute for Science. The student is based in Tübingen, with salary is according to the German salary scale TV-L E13 (65%).

The Institute of Neurobiology and the wider neuroscientific environment in Tübingen provide an ideal and stimulating environment for successful PhD students. The student will be able to have a structured education through the Graduate Training Center for Neuroscience, with the possibility to apply for the IMPRS Neural Mechanisms of Mental Function and Dysfunction (3-year program).
