FarmingIOS

FarmingIOS is a combined project of the universities Tübingen and Hohenheim, as well as the companies LuxFlux and InMach. The goal is to research and demonstrate the applicability of a sensor system that, using multi- or hyperspectral images of plants, can detect infestation and illness.

The project was brought to a successful end in March 2021.

The basic idea of the project. A drone flies a hyperspectral camera over a field, which can detect plant infestations and illness. A map where to apply pesticides is sent to the ground vehicle, which automatically takes care of the issue.
