jOSEF: A Java-Based Open-Source Smart Meter Gateway Experimentation Framework

jOSEF is a Java-based open-source smart meter gateway experimentation framework. The framework combines and extends established protocol frameworks to provide a flexible tool for the validation of smart metering communication use cases involving smart meter gateways.

System boundaries of the SMGW architecture according to BSI TR-03109-1. The SMGW mediates between LMN, HAN, and WAN.
