Getting to Tübingen
Plane

The closest airport is Stuttgart Airport (approx. 35km from Tübingen).

From the airport there is a bus line directly to Tübingen main station. The bus with the number 828 takes ca. 1 hour to Tübingen and costs 7,15€. The bus stop is located at the arrival level of the airport, only a few steps away from Terminal 1 (map).

Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the airport to Tübingen, which takes around 22 minutes. Taxis are located in front of the aiport terminals (map).

Train

Tübingen main station (Tübingen Hauptbahnhof), which is located on the southern side of the town centre, can easily be reached by train. For more information, please visit the webpage of the German Railways (Deutsche Bahn).

Bus

There are several remote buses which can bring you to the main station in Tübingen. There is a search engine for these buses. (Please note that the page also suggests rideshare opportunities.)

Car

You can also travel to Tübingen by car. Tübingen is situated on the intersection of the B27 and B28 main roads, from which the A8 (Munich-Stuttgart) and the A81 (Singen-Heilbronn) can be reached. (Cf. this map.)

 

Local public transport

Tübingen's local public transport system, TüBus, has 35 bus lines covering Tübingen and its suburbs.

Bus tickets cost 2,40€ for a one-way ticket or 4,30€ for a day ticket, and are free on Saturdays.

Bus tickets can be obtained at ticket machines inside busses, ticket machines at some bus stops, various points of sale in town as well as via the naldo mobile app.

All participants receive a conference ticket with their conference folder. The ticket is valid for the whole week.
