GUZ Wall Art Competition

The Department of Geosciences announces a photograph / art contest for display within the hallways of the new GUZ building!

The deadline for submissions is Friday 27, November, 2020. This web site (https://uni-tuebingen.de/de/147684) allows people in the department to upload photos, artwork, or other images (e.g. maps) for potential display in the new Geoscience (GUZ) building.  Images for display will be selected by a committee of people, professionally printed, framed, and nicely displayed on the walls sometime after moving into GUZ. Submissions should be images that reflect the character of research, teaching, and societal outreach of our Department. Examples of appropriate content include: field, laboratory, or microscope photographs; geologic or other maps; pictures of students / people learning or working in the field; nature photographs, geology related artwork, etc.  Please note that only portrait orientation A0 images can be displayed in the GUZ hallways, although landscape oriented images will be considered for display on TV monitors in the halls, or department promotional literature.  A subset of material submitted might also be used in a series of rotating images that are projected on monitors in the entry way of the building, or in department promotional literature (e.g. study program brochures, etc). Images will be enlarged to A0 size for display in the hallway frames, and only high-resolution versions of images will be considered. Please do not upload material that is copyright protected against public display. Please no more than 10 submissions per person.
