Tübingen to host seventh HeiTüHo Workshop in December 2026

The HeiTüHo Workshop brings together international researchers for discussions on macroeconomics

On 18–19 December 2026, the University of Tübingen will welcome leading international economists to Hohentübingen Castle for the 7th Heidelberg–Tübingen–Hohenheim (HeiTüHo) Workshop. The two-day programme will feature new research on inflation, monetary and fiscal policy, financial frictions, and the role of household and firm heterogeneity in the macroeconomy.

A highlight will be the keynote lecture by Adrien Auclert (Stanford University) on “New Keynesian Economics with Household and Firm Heterogeneity.” Other invited speakers include Christian Bayer (University of Bonn), Ethan Ilzetzki (London School of Economics), Almuth Scholl (University of Konstanz), Rustam Jamilov (University of Oxford), and Jenny Chan (Bank of England).

Established in 2018, HeiTüHo is a longstanding conference series connecting researchers from the Universities of Heidelberg, Tübingen and Hohenheim with scholars and central bank economists from around the world. This year’s workshop is jointly organised by the three universities and the Deutsche Bundesbank, continuing the series’ tradition of bringing together established researchers and early-career economists for in-depth discussion.

The organising committee comprises Zeno Enders (Heidelberg), Michael Evers (Hohenheim), Mathias Hoffmann (Deutsche Bundesbank), and Gernot Müller and Ralph Lütticke (Tübingen).
