Lecture Briefing:
Unfortunately, Latin America is one of the most violent regions in the world. Predictive security uses artificial intelligence to analyze these violence and crime-related phenomena to improve security resource deployment. This talk will review recent advances in the area developed and deployed in Colombia, including crime characterization and prediction, dynamic police patrolling, and citizens' perception of security quantification. The conference will also cover various ethical and social implications linked to the use of these technologies.
