More than a third of the population is plagued by headaches and migraines, and almost one in four suffers from them regularly. Sufferers are often completely thrown off course by the headache, and the WHO lists migraines among the ten most common reasons why sufferers have to live with restrictions for years. There are more than 200 types of headache and a multitude of triggers, which means that courses and forms of therapy differ. It is therefore important for sufferers to get to know their own headaches, to be able to classify them and to have appropriate strategies for therapy and prevention at hand.
In the lecture you will learn
Classification of headaches and pathophysiological basics of the most common types of headaches.
Differentiation of headache types and the significance for the course of the headache
Common headache triggers
Therapeutic procedure and preventive action possibilities
Info: Participation also possible for students.
