The Center for School Quality and Teacher Training (ZSL) once again invited participants to the Regional Days of Gifted Education during the week of November 10-14 at various locations. The goal was to offer teachers of all school types practical insights and opportunities for networking.

As part of this initiative, the Regional Day of Gifted Education took place on November 10, 2025, at Robert-Mayer-Gymnasium in Heilbronn. At the “Marketplace of Opportunities,” the Hector Children’s Academies presented themselves with their own booth, engaging in conversations with numerous participants. Program Director Kristin Funcke introduced the evidence-based support concept of the Hector Children’s Academies and demonstrated how particularly gifted and highly gifted elementary school children can be supported and encouraged through the program.

Also represented was a booth for the certificate program “Gifted Education and Talent Development.” Claudia Wolf, coordinator of this part-time continuing education program offered by the Hector Institute of Educational Research, explained how participants – especially teachers and school administrators – can use the certificate program for their own professional development and apply the acquired knowledge effectively in everyday school life.

The day clearly showed: Gifted education works best where people connect, share ideas, and take joint responsibility for nurturing potential.
