14.01.2015 – With the beginning of the new year, two of the most renowned Sports Economists have visited the Institute of Sports Science for discussing further research cooperation in the area of sport economics as well as presenting their latest research to students and faculty staff. During their stay at the IfS, two guest lectures were offered. On Thursday, 8th January 2015, Professor Rob Simmons from the Lancaster University in England started with a lecture on ‘Attendance Demand in European Football‘. Six days later Professor Dennis Coates from the US University of Maryland Baltimore County – visiting the IfS already for the third time – gave a lecture on ‘Economic Impact of Sport Facilities and Events‘.
