Short films
On a regular basis, animated short films are produced in cooperation with the Center for Media Competence. The students have access to an editing and animation studio equipped with a stop-motion stand, iPads, and some of the latest audiovisual software. Regular courses are conducted by Naima Alam on digital animation and Julia Dufek and Franziska Bruckner on analog animation. Numerous creative short films have been produced in these courses. Students also develop animated films as part of bachelor and master theses. Furthermore, during the 2016 staging of the the Wallander opera "W – The Truth Beyond" by Fredrik Sixten and the 2017 staging of the Tübingen opera "Il cacciatore deluso" by Niccolò Jommelli at the University of Tübingen, students worked on creative projection and video installation projects.
