Ming-Sho Ho is professor in the department of sociology, National Taiwan University. His research areas include political sociology, social movement, labor and environmental issues. He published Be Water: Collective Improvisation in Hong Kong’s Anti-Extradition Protests (2025), Challenging Beijing’s Mandate of Heaven: Taiwan’s Sunflower Movement and Hong Kong’s Umbrella Movement (2019), and Working Class Formation in Taiwan: Fractured Solidarity in State-Owned Enterprises (2014). Currently, he is engaged in a book-writing project on how Taiwan's social movements and political parties jointly shaped the policy reforms.
