The MSc ZMBP program is discontinued.

The Department of Biology is offering a new MSc program covering Molecular Cell Biology and Immunology (MSc Cellular and Immunological Biosciences) that started in October 2024.

The MSc CIB program emerged from the fusion of the MSc ZMBP of the Centre for Molecular Plant Biology (ZMBP) and the MSc MCBI program of the Institute of Cell Biology (IZB) and the Institute of Immunology, bringing together the institutes' excellence in research and teaching to provide a dynamic and innovative study experience.

Admission

Applicants with a bachelor´s degree, or an equivalent degree in biology or a relevant field, such as molecular biology, biochemistry or biophysics from Germany or abroad, are eligible. A good command of written and spoken English is required. Selection is based on the grade attained for the bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree. This can be upgraded by extra vocational qualifications, such as BTA or MTA training, by work experience abroad in a biological field for a minimum period of six weeks or by scientific prizes or publications.

The application period ends on 15 January (summer term) or 15 July (winter term) for international applicants, on the 31 March (summer term) and 30 September(winter term) for applicants for German or EU citizens. For further information see:: http://www.mnf.uni-tuebingen.de/fachbereiche/biologie
