PhD Project: Disgust and the Language of Belonging
The dissertation is placed at the intersection of (working) class politics and affect studies. It aims to interrogate how language and narratives around disgust reveal the inner workings of the psyche as it relates to identity, enabling a more nuanced understanding of disgust through texts which illuminate identities in crisis, and the transformative journeys through the engagement with disgust.
