Wo verlaufen die Grenzen des (Un)Sagbaren und wie haben sie sich in den letzten Jahren verändert? Mit welchen Strategien arbeiten Akteure von Rechtsaußen an Grenzverschiebungen, wie erfolgreich sind sie dabei und was bedeutet das für die Demokratie?

Um diese und weitere Fragen geht es in der Vortrags- und Diskussionsveranstaltung „The Boundaries of the (Un)Sayable and the Normalization of Illiberal Politics“ mit Prof. Dr. Michał Krzyżanowski von der Universität Uppsala (Schweden), zu der das Forschungsprojekt „Die Aushandlung von Sagbarkeitsgrenzen in politischen Diskursen“ und das Institut für Rechtsextremismusforschung alle interessierten Personen herzlich einladen.

Der Vortrag wird auf Englisch gehalten, Fragen können aber auch auf Deutsch gestellt werden.

What are the boundaries of the (un)sayable and how have they changed in recent years? What strategies do actors from the far right use to push these boundaries, how successful are they and what does this mean for democracy?

These and other questions will be addressed in the public lecture “The Boundaries of the (Un)Sayable and the Normalization of Illiberal Politics” with Prof. Dr. Michal Krzyzanowski from Uppsala University (Sweden), to which the research project “The Negotiation of Sayability Boundaries in Political Discourses” and the Institute for Research on Right-Wing Extremism cordially invite all interested persons.

The lecture will be held in English, but questions can also be asked in German.
