Ticketing for major events: Using science to increase sales

13.06.2018 – One day before the FIFA World Cup kick-off in Russia, Enno Eller – Alumni of the Sport Management Master Program in Tuebingen and Junior Direct Sales Manager at CTS EVENTIM – presented some latest insights on the ticketing business of one of the largest events and ticket agents worldwide.

The focus of his talk was put on how to use prevailing sports demand theories in order to increase sales figures at major sport events. With the help of two practical examples – i.e. the 2017 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship and the 2017 IHF Women’s Handball World Championship – it was demonstrated how theory-matching marketing activities directly impact, negatively or positively, sales figures.
