Excellence Strategy

Environmental Systems

The Platform Environmental System is the network of 'environmental researchers' at the University of Tübingen. It links working groups from geo- & environmental sciences, chemistry, biology, physics, maschine learning, social sciences, ethics, and law. Upcoming research items may be taken up rapidly and tackled by interdisciplinary teams. Focus is on societal relevant environmental research challenges. The platforms aims at a close cooperation with environmental agencies, spin-offs, service providers, and industry associations. Results and achievements are presented to the public in thematic workshops, symposia and courses. The platform is part of the university's excellence strategy.
