Award for outstanding contributions to educational research
Ulrich Trautwein, Managing Director of the Hector Research Institute of Education Sciences and Psychology and Co-Director of the LEAD Graduate School & Research Network, is the only scientist outside the USA to be named an AERA Fellow 2024 by the American Educational Research Association (AERA).
This makes Trautwein one of 24 scientists to be honoured with this award for their outstanding contributions to educational research. Fellows were nominated by colleagues, selected by the Fellows Committee and approved by the AERA Council, the association's elected governing body. They will be officially inducted at the 2024 Annual Meeting in Philadelphia on 12 April.
"The 2024 AERA Fellows belong to a special group of scientists. We are delighted to welcome them," said AERA Executive Director Felice J. Levine. "Their contributions to educational research meet the highest standards of academic excellence."
Founded in 1916, AERA is the largest U.S. educational research association with more than 26,000 members. With 12 thematic divisions and nearly 160 special interest groups, it represents the entire spectrum of educational research. Its goal is to promote knowledge about education, stimulate research on education and advance the use of findings to improve education and public welfare.
