Practice-based learning in the B.Sc. Sport Management program

As part of the Sports Facility Management seminar, sport management students were given exclusive insights into key sports venues in the region.

Under the guidance of Dr. Jon Andrea Schocher (University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons), B.Sc. students from Tübingen were granted access to the PreZero Arena in Sinsheim as well as the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle and the Porsche-Arena in Stuttgart. On site, numerous experts provided valuable insights into both strategic and operational aspects of facility management.

During his studies B.Sc. student Leon Küting took part in an earlier edition of this field trip. He is currently completing his internship at the Stuttgart HallenDuo and describes his work at the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle and the Porsche-Arena as diverse, hands-on, and enriching. According to Küting, his degree program provided a solid academic foundation, while the internship now enables him not only to gain insight into event management processes but also to actively contribute to their implementation. His overall assessment of this “excellent internship position” is entirely positive.
