Erbe-Lauf
Since 2018, the University of Tübingen and its Institute of Sport Science has been the organiser of the “Tübinger Erbe-Lauf”, host is the Athletics Association of Tübingen , named “LAV Stadtwerke Tübingen”.
The run, which was founded in 1994 as the City Run of Tübingen, has been called the “Tübinger Erbe-Lauf” since 2012 given the name by the main sponsor which is the company “Erbe Elektromedizin GmbH”. The run is one of the most important running events in the region with its approximately 3,000 participants who take part in competitions for different target and age groups. For more than 25 years now, the basic idea of combining mass sport and top-class sport in one event has been maintained.
The run is organised in close cooperation with the host “LAV Stadtwerke Tübingen”. At the Institute for Sport Science, a position of organisational management was established and co-financed by “Erbe Elektromedizin GmbH”. Since 2018, Judith Wais has been in charge of the organisation.
The “Tübinger Erbe-Lauf” is systematically evaluated with the aim of continuous optimisation at all levels and made the subject of in-depth research. Various social and health science questions are dealt with and different perspectives (e.g. those of the participants) are considered.
