Research interests

I am a plant ecologist, and I study the ecological and evolutionary processes that are the causes and the consequences of biological invasions. I like to use experiments to explore plant-plant interactions and interactions between plants and other trophic levels to better understand ecological communities. Currently, I am interested in how novel climate conditions, especially increased variability, can influence such interactions and whether this dimension of change is an important driver of biological invasions.
