Academic Background

Chonlawit Sirikupt is a PhD student in political science at the University of Tübingen.

He graduated with a BA in International Studies with Honors from University of Washington, Seattle, in 2015. In 2020, he received his MA in Comparative & Middle East Politics Society from the University of Tübingen, a joint program with the American University in Cairo, Egypt.

His works have appeared in outlets including The Washington Post's Monkey Cage Blog and The Diplomat.

Research Interests

His research focuses on use of the Internet and digital information technology and their implications for democratic and authoritarian rule. He is particularly interested in disinformation and online propaganda.
