The Singaporean education system is recognised as one of the world's leading systems, with students from the Southeast Asian state regularly achieving top results in the PISA study. A delegation of researchers from Singapore, Dr Ng Hui Leng, Dr Marilyn Lim, Mark Lee and Huiyuan Lin (Ministry of Education, Singapore) and Prof Dr Daniel Koretz (Harvard University) were invited to the Hector Research Institute of Education Sciences and Psychology and the LEAD Graduate School & Research Network to learn more about educational administration and the role and involvement of educational research.

This visit from 15 to 20 April focused on international exchange on the topics of examination policy and science-practice transfer. During their stay, the researchers were welcomed by the university and faculty management, Dr Peter Grathwohl, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, and Prof Dr Frank Stähler, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences, were given insights into the Excellence Initiative and educational research in Tübingen and visited the LEAD Retreat. In addition, a small conference (Data-based decision making for school development processes - What does (not) work?) was organised especially for the international exchange with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport Baden-Württemberg, which was attended by the guests, representatives of the Ministry, the Institute for Educational Analyses Baden-Württemberg (IBBW) and the Centre for School Quality and Teacher Training Baden-Württemberg (ZSL).

The Hector Research Institute of Education Sciences and Psychology and the LEAD Graduate School & Research Network would like to thank the international guests for the extremely interesting exchange and look forward to further cooperation.
