Different approaches to teaching sports games are discussed and reflected upon. The concept of "Teaching Games for Understanding" is central to this and, with the principle of "playing before practising", stands as a guiding idea for the teaching of all sports games in the work area of the Department of Sport Psychology and Research Methods.
