For questions about studying, the IfS has set up an advice centre with the following tasks:

1. Advice on the meaningfulness or feasibility of study
Students who have extreme problems with study which go beyond the competence of student counselling can ask for a conversation with the lecturers of the Information and Moderating Group of the IfS, mentioned on the right.

2. Mediation and moderation
Students who have problems with lecturers - and lecturers who have problems with students - can contact a member of the afore-mentioned group and ask for a general discussion in terms of moderation and mediation. This interview is used to gather information and to clarify further action. If necessary, members of the Information and Moderating Group of the IfS can be requested to intervene in conflicts between lecturers.
