1. Contact the primary and secondary supervisors to agree on their willingness to supervise. A specific project must exist and be named.
2. Registration takes place first at the respective theological faculty of the primary supervisor (Faculty of Catholic Theology: Gulde-Karmann / Faculty of Protestant Theology: Zacher). Here, all linguistic and subject-specific requirements (via certificates) are also checked and, if necessary, an equivalence check of the degrees is carried out. If knowledge and skills need to be made up, this is documented in this context.
3. The primary supervisor submits a brief statement on the doctoral project to the Joint Doctoral Committee, especially if the supervisor is not a member of the Joint Doctoral Committee.
4. Registration for the doctorate then takes place at the faculty of the secondary supervisor (Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences or Faculty of Humanities) – at the respective doctoral office.
5. The respective doctoral office (Faculty of Humanities or Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences) sends the complete registration documents to the chair of the Joint Doctoral Committee, Prof. Dr. Angelika Zirker (via the doctoral office of the Faculty of Humanities) no later than two weeks before the meeting of the Joint Doctoral Committee.
6. Wait for the decision of the Joint Doctoral Committee.
7. Final confirmation of acceptance (or rejection) is currently issued by the Doctoral Office of the Faculty of Humanities (as long as Prof. Zirker is chair).
8. The doctoral candidate then enrols with the confirmation of acceptance.
