Scholarships for doctoral candidates

State Postgraduate Fellowship Programme (Landesgraduiertenförderung)

After the Ministry in Stuttgart stopped awarding scholarships from the state graduate funding programme at short notice due to a global shortfall in expenditure, the Rectorate was able to provide a smaller number of scholarships for doctoral students from Excellence funds on the initiative of the Deans in collaboration with the Research Funding Department as of 04/2025.

Application information for possible funding from 04/2026 can be found here from approx. Oct. 2025.
