Electronics Engineer/Physicist (m/f/d, E 13 TV-L, 100%)
The position is expected to be filled as soon as possible. Remuneration is according to pay grade E13 of the German public-sector collective agreement TV-L.
The successful candidate is an Electronics Engineer/Physicist with an outstanding Master degree (or equivalent) or a Doctoral title in Physics, with documented experience in designing, manufacturing and testing digital electronics for space science applications.
The successful candidate will be part of the IAAT technical team developing hardware for international space missions for UV and high energy astrophysics. The High Energy Astrophysics and Space Based Astrophysics sections of IAAT have a wide range of interests, including experimental developments in the UV, X-ray and TeV Astronomy. Main projects include ESBO, TINI, SIRIUS, THESEUS, eXTP, NewATHENA, HERMES and CTA.
The job comprises all steps for the development of digital electronics at the institute, including the coordination of the corresponding activities and the collaboration with the international partners, as well as presentation tasks.
