Nelson Mandela Reader on Information Ethics
Book Launch on 28 July, 4 pm
The International Center for Information Ethics (ICIE) and the African Centre for Excellence in Information Ethics (ACEIE) invite you to the launch of the Nelson Mandela Reader on Information Ethics in honour of Nelson Mandela and in observation of International Nelson Mandela Day, 18 July 2021.
The International Center for Ethics in the Sciences and Humanities (IZEW) at the University of Tübingen contributed to the reader with a chapter on “Information Justice in Africa: Insights on information ethics connected to Nelson Mandela’s thinking” by Maria Pawelec, Kerstin Schopp and PD Dr. Jessica Heesen.
The Nelson Mandela Reader celebrates and reminds us of the importance of information ethics, freedom of expression and freedom of access to information. These themes are now more important than ever, especially in the wake of the global Covid-19 pandemic and resulting infodemic.
The online launch will take place on 28 July 2021 at 4pm.
