JLM, known as v M from 1892 onward, (born August 19, 1830, in Varel, Grand Duchy of Oldenburg; died April 11, 1895, in Tübingen) was a German physician and chemist. Along with Dmitri Ivanovich Mendeleev, he is considered one of the founders of the periodic table of chemical elements.
