The University of Tübingen created the doctoral training networks to promote exchanges among PhD candidates through participation in individual working groups. This "Tübingen model" calls for three or four professors from various disciplines to form a PhD network that will deal with a single theme or procedure. Up to seven doctoral candidates may take part. Participating students will receive a scholarship from the state of Baden-Württemburg.
