Excellence Strategy

Research

The University of Tübingen quickly implemented the measures in the area of research which it had planned for its Institutional Strategy. Four research platforms were established to further the interdisciplinary exchange between researchers within the University and with external research institutions. The Core Facilities enable an efficient usage of up-to-date research infrastructure and Industry on Campus (IoC) cooperation combine research and industry as well as basic research with application orientation. Furthermore a number of new cooperation show that the University of Tübingen is a place, where research is practised on the highest level.

The Center for Religion, Culture and Society (CRCS) is a transfaculty platform at the University of Tübingen that connects scholars from different disciplines to explore religious, cultural, secular and societal interrelations, facilitating interdisciplinary exchange.

Research data management (RDM): In line with the recommendations of the German Rectors' Conference, the Research Data Alliance and the E-Science Strategy of the state of Baden-Württemberg, the University of Tübingen supports responsible and sustainable handling of research data.
