Currently the production of this high-throughput data is not the biggest obstacle on the way to personalised medicine. The interdisciplinary evaluation and the introduction of the cutting-edge technologies into clinical trials and into the routines of the university hospital is the most challenging hurdle.
Therefore the Center for Personalised Medicine (ZPM) was founded in the context of the Excellence Initiative of the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. The ZPM connects the diverse aspects of data production, data analysis, functional imaging, development of new therapies and their clinical trials to transfer the concept into clinical care.
