The Doctoral area on the 4th level of the Ammerbau (right wing) has been set up specifically for PhD students who have few work opportunities at their respective institutes. Access is regulated via the university chip card. If your access has not yet been activated, please send an email to informationspam prevention@ub.uni-tuebingen.de. We require the following information to activate your account: (1) Name, (2) Card number of your student or employee ID card, (3) Proof that you are currently pursuing a doctorate at the University of Tübingen (e.g., supervision agreement, acceptance as a doctoral candidate, mention on a project or chair website). Alternatively, you can also activate your ID card at the counter in the Ammerbau.
Please note that doctoral candidates from other universities cannot access the doctoral candidate area.
The space is designed along the lines of a coworking space to enable exchange, collaboration, but also concentrated individual work. Thus, classic individual workstations, standing tables, collaborative workstations and lounge areas are available. Book carts are available for rent in front of the entrance. Lockers can also be found on site (your own padlock is required).
