Support for funding childcare costs

As a family-friendly university, the University of Tübingen offers support to employees and scholarship holders for financing childcare costs incurred in connection with academic or official activities. To this end, the university's rectorate has adopted a "Guideline for Funding Childcare Costs" and tasked the Family Office with its implementation.

Eligible childcare costs may include, for example, extended hours or emergency care, as well as costs incurred in connection with conferences, research trips, or business travel. Applications must be submitted exclusively through the Team Equity of the Universitiy of Tübingen. Details about the application process can be found here.

TEAching-Equality-Program

Since applications for funding from TEA funds must be decided upon in the meetings of the Equal Opportunities Commission, they should be submitted before the first meeting at the beginning of the semester or the second meeting at the end of the lecture period. Applications must also be submitted at least four weeks before the planned event date. However, exceptions to these rules are possible in urgent cases.

Applications must be submitted both electronically and in paper form. Unfortunately, applications that are not submitted electronically cannot be processed. The original application documents must additionally be sent afterward to the Equal Opportunities Officer of the Faculty,  Dr. Karin Bürkart, Ludwig Uhland Institute of Historical and Cultural Anthropology, Eberhard Karls University Tübingen, Burgsteige 11, 72070 Tübingen.
