Faculty of Humanities

For many decades, the University of Tübingen has been a location for world-class research in the humanities: national and international rankings repeatedly confirm the outstanding position of the Faculty of Humanities. Our faculty covers the entire spectrum of the humanities, thus encompassing more than two and a half thousand years of cultural history. The topics covered by our faculty's departments range from the early advanced civilizations in East Asia, the Middle East, India and Egypt to current developments in the fields of history, media, literature, languages, art and music. We combine innovative teaching with excellent research, networking in Germany and worldwide.
