Exploring Texts: Literary Figurations of Failure aims to uncover the results and re-presentations of literary failures and to discuss these in a welcoming and supportive environment. The theme of "Exploring texts: Literary Figurations of Failure" will be examined in presentations on literature ranging from the 17th to the 21st century.

The Winter School will offer broad new perspectives on failure, reflecting on such diverse aspects of failure as: failing as resistance – failures of criticism – failures of representation, and the challenges of methodological failures.

Exploring Texts: Literary Figurations of Failure is open to all and free of charge. Please register by sending the organisers an <link ein fenster zum versenden der>email by Wednesday, 9 October 2013.

We look forward to seeing you.
