Dalia ElShiaty achieved great success with her conference-paper

Very successful submission to prestiguous conferences in Finance, Economics and Econometrics. The paper by one of our doctoral students, Ms. Dalia ElShiaty, titled “Empirical Asset Pricing in a DSGE Framework: Reconciling Calibration and Econometrics using Partial Indirect Inference” has been accepted for presentation at 3 leading international conferences in the summer of 2020: the 12th World Congress of the Econometric Society in Bologna, The 47th European Finance Assoication (EFA) Annual meeting in Helsinki, and the 30th Congress of the European Economic Association (EEA) in Rotterdam.

The paper by one of our doctoral students, Ms. Dalia ElShiaty, titled “Empirical Asset Pricing in a DSGE Framework: Reconciling Calibration and Econometrics using Partial Indirect Inference” has been accepted for presentation at 3 leading international conferences in the summer of 2020: the 12th World Congress of the Econometric Society in
Bologna, The 47th European Finance Assoication (EFA) Annual meeting in Helsinki, and the 30th Congress of the European Economic Association (EEA) in Rotterdam. The competition for presentation at these conferences is very tough. The EFA meeting is considered as one of the 3 top Finance conferences worldwide, with only about 10% of the
submitted papers being accepted for presentation. The World Congress of the Econometric Society takes place only every 4 years, and scholars throughout the world submit their work.

The work of ElShiaty obviously convinced referees from quite different fields. ElShiaty completed her Msc in Economics and Finance in Tübingen and is now enrolled in the PhD program in Finance and working as a research and teaching assistant at our Department of Econometrics and Statistics. The submitted paper is coauthored by Julie Schnaitmann, who is also an alumni of the Master of Economics and Finance and currently a PhD student at University of Konstanz.
