The Department of Early Prehistory and Quaternary Ecology of the Institute for Pre- and Protohistory and Archaeology of the Middle Ages at the Eberhard-Karls-University in Tübingen is pleased to announce the repeated awarding of the Tübingen Prize for Ice Age Research. This prize is sponsored through a donation of 7.500 Euro from Romina Mineralbrunnen, Reutlingen, Germany.
The purpose of this prize is to foster innovative research among young scholars studying Ice Age archaeology, Quaternary ecology and human evolution. Submissions may include doctoral theses. The closing date for all submissions is November 1st, 2024. The prize will be awarded in February 2025. Please send your application (the theses, relevant publications, short application letter and a CV) to the department “Ältere Urgeschichte und Quartärökologie” from the University of Tübingen (postal address is indicated on the right).

Please send us your thesis, together with a short letter and your CV. Your thesis must be submitted simultaneously in two formats: as both a paper version and as an electronic version (a single pdf). Accepted variants of the electronic version are either on a physical data carrier (CD / DVD / Flash drive) or via a valid download link (with a minimum validity of 3 months after the closing date of submission). Please note that none of the sent documents can be returned to the sender after the end of the selection process.
