Overview: Korean Studies Bachelors Program
- 3-year B.A. degree
- Studies possible as a major or as a minor
- Enrollment only for the winter semester
- Number of admissions restricred
- One year of study abroad in Korea is compulsory for majors (4th / 5th semester)
- Studying abroad is optional for the minor
- Language skills with a B.A. degree as major at least intermediate level (for comparison - TOPIK Level 4)
- Basic expertise in modern Korea
Overview: Korean Studies Masters Program
- 2-year program
- Enrollment for the summer or winter semester
- Completed Bachelor's degree in Korean Studies with at least a grade of 2.5 or an equivalent degree required
- A year abroad is optional and is recommended
- 3 professors guarantee a wide range of seminars for the thematic priorities of history, society and culture
- Technical language skills at the advanced level for a master’s degree
- MAKES double master’s program

M.A. Politics and Society of East Asia
- 2-year program
- Enrollment only in the winter semester
- Focus on China, Japan, Korea with a strong social / historical approach
- Combination of regional, systematic-disciplinary and specialist courses
