Bio

Since April 2026, I have been serving as Managing Director of the King Sejong Institute in Tübingen and am a PhD candidate in Historical and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Tübingen; my research focuses on the practices of K-pop practitioners worldwide, particularly their engagement in activism related to racial justice, environmental justice, and transitional justice, drawing on approaches from digital and political anthropology, popular culture and fan studies, as well as social movement theory; prior to this, I studied Film and Visual Anthropology.
