You can publish your dissertation at the University Library in both printed and electronic form.

University presses

Tübingen University Press (TUP) and Tübingen Library Publishing (TLP) are the open access publishers of the University of Tübingen, which also enable printed editions of your works. While you can publish titles promptly at TLP, TUP offers you careful quality management of the program.

Framework agreements with external publishers

Based on contracts with various publishers, the University Library can offer reduced Article Processing Charges (APCs). This applies to members of the University of Tübingen including the hospital.

Open Access Publication Fund

Some articles may be eligible for a financial grant from the Open Access Publication Fund through the University Library.

University Repository

In the sense of Open Access, the University Repository offers the possibility for members of the University to publish scientific publications free of charge - including electronic dissertations.

In so-called portals, related works, e.g. series of publications or congress reports, can be presented under their own overview page.

Tübingen Open Journals

As a member of the University of Tübingen, you can publish your own Open Access journal. With Tübingen Open Journals the university library provides a suitable platform.

Central Open Educational Resources Repository

The Central Open Educational Resources Repository of Tübingen University Library provides open teaching and learning materials (open educational resources) from and for the universities of Baden-Württemberg.

Research Data Portal

The Research Data Portal Tübingen (FDAT) offers its scientists various services such as findability, accessibility, interoperability and reusability of data. The necessary technical equipment for long-term archiving and subsequent use of research data is also provided.

Image Database

With the Image Database, the University Library offers a central image repository. This platform offers the possibility to research, publish and archive image material for teaching and research purposes.

Audio Archive

The Audio Archive contains the broadcast archive of Radio Micro-Europa, the former radio of the University of Tübingen (until 2016) and the South Asia Digitization Project (Saath Saath). The broadcasts of Micro-Europa are freely accessible and can be listened to as MP3 files.
