The Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Science at Tübingen University invites applications for the position of
Professor (W3) in Geometric Analysis (m/f/d)
with starting date April 1, 2027. The successful candidate is expected to independently represent the field of Geometric Analysis in both research and teaching and to have an outstanding, internationally recognized research profile. The research activities should allow opportunities for collaboration within the Department of Mathematics and other departments at the University of Tübingen, particularly in the field of Mathematical General Relativity. Aside from research, the professorship will also play a vital role in the teaching of the bachelor’s and master’s programs in the department of mathematics and will represent the field of analysis in teaching on a broad scale.
The successful candidate is expected to actively participate in joint externally funded projects within the Department of Mathematics and related departments at the University of Tübingen, as well as to contribute appropriately to the Department of Mathematics’ teaching responsibilities. Furthermore, appropriate participation in the academic self-governance of the Department of Mathematics and the Faculty of Science is expected.
Required qualifications include a PhD or equivalent degree as well as postdoctoral qualifications and teaching experience equivalent to the requirements of a full professorship.
