Tübingen School of Education (TüSE)

Global Awareness for Future Teachers

Brief Description

The project „Global Awareness for Future Teachers” facilitates the development and deepening of the TüSE’s strategic internationalization goals. These internationalization goals are closely aligned with the excellence strategy, which was successfully applied for in 2019, and therefore also with the University of Tübingen’s internationalization strategy. They include systematically promoting a global awareness education for teaching students in all subjects, increasing the internationality of the lecturers responsible in the teaching degree programs, connecting to the European university network CIVIS, as well as continually developing partnerships with countries of the global South. Application goals will be achieved through activities in project areas A-E.  Area A includes work meetings with network partners; area B includes information measures, the awarding of mobility grants, a support concept during the stay abroad, as well as the implementation of a summer school; area C includes teacher exchanges; area D includes visibility measures; and area E includes quality assurance measures.
